2024 11 18 Rigging Up Annular Preventer - Duane Winkler (LSOG Wellsite Supervisor)

 This morning, Monday, November 18, 2024, 6:00 am MST, we are drilling 40 fph at 12,940’. Made 270’ yesterday. Finished TIH with 6 1/8” bit and BHA.

Drilled out float joints and 10’ of new hole. Conducted a FIT (“Formation Integrity Test”) . Tested casing seat to 14.5 ppg. Currently drilling @ 12,940’!

 

Current plans are:

(1.) Drill 6 1/8” hole to 15,600’ TVD (15,800’ MD)!!

 

Today’s video features Mr. Duane Winkler, one of our Wellsite Supervisors, discussing the surface well control equipment currently being utilized on the Found Soldier Federal #1.

On numerous reports you see the acronym “BOP” or “BOPE”, which stands for Blowout Preventer.

This usually refers to the entire BOP stack, which will become more clear in the video.
